Notre Dame, Saigon

No olipa pettymys. Minulle mainostettiin etta Saigonin Notre Dame on nayttava paikka. No joo. Onhan se natti. Ihan kirkon nakoinen. Mutta ulkoapain Mikaelin kirkko vie sita 6-0 ja se ja Tuomiokirkko tekevat sisapuolelta saman. Mutta paattakaa itse.

Well this was a disappointment. I was advertised that the Notre Dame of Saigon is a remarkable place. Oh well. Yeah it's pretty. Looks like a church yes. But from the outside my Turku's St. Michael's church beats it 6-0 and from the inside it and the Turku Cathedral does the same.

Mutta joo, ei mikaan mullistava kokemus. Vastaavia kirkkoja on esim. Australia pullollaan. Toivottavasti alkuperainen Notre Dame tekee suuremman vaikutuksen sitten kun sinne asti joskus paadyn.

But yeah, not much of a ground-breaker. For example Australia has loads of this kind of churches. I hope the original Notre Dame makes me more impressed when I someday get there.
